If it is the first or second divorce, the husband may take back his wife as long as she is within her waiting period (iddah), and she is still considered his wife. The iddah of a pregnant woman ends with childbirth. Preliminaries to intercourse, without the intention of reconciliation, do not constitute a rajah (return) according to schools other than the Hanafi school. Therefore, it is not permissible to enjoy her without the intention of reconciliation.
