Is it permissible for a veiled woman to use black dye if it is not for the purpose of adornment or covering gray hair?

It is permissible to dye hair with all colors except pure black, about which scholars have differed. Some have gone to permit it, others to consider it disliked (makruh), and still others to prohibit it, which is the most preponderant (rajih) opinion.
