What is the ruling on playing video games or watching cartoons that contain music if the sound is muted, one lowers their gaze, and skips scenes that violate Islamic law?

One should avoid games and films that contain Sharia-prohibited elements, even with the intention of disregarding them, because they may subtly draw a person in and entice them to watch or listen to those prohibited elements.
