What is the ruling on applying face powder or cream that covers blemishes without being seen?

There is no harm in applying powder or cream that covers spots on the face, as long as it does not lead to a Shariah-prohibited act, such as deceiving a suitor, or if a woman applies it and goes out with her face uncovered.
