Is it permissible for an employee to continue in his job in a country that opposes Islamic Sharia?

It is permissible to work in non-Muslim countries if it does not involve committing a forbidden act, injustice, or aiding in them, regardless of whether the state adheres to the rulings of Sharia or not. It should be noted that it is not permissible for a Muslim to reside in non-Muslim countries without necessity, due to the prohibition of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding that, and due to the religious tribulation that may result from it.
