Is the statement: "The ship sails under the sight, protection, and care of Allah" considered a metaphorical interpretation (ta'wil)? And does this statement resemble the metaphorical interpretation of "the hand of Allah is the power of Allah"? And what is the proof for affirming two eyes for Allah?

We affirmed two eyes for Allah the Almighty in the fatwa based on the noble verse, also relying on the noble hadith in the Two Sahihs that Allah is not one-eyed, and that He is unlike the Masih al-Dajjal.

We clarified that the meaning of "sailing under Our eyes" means the ship sailed under Allah’s sight and care, as the letter ba’ indicates accompaniment, and it does not mean that it sailed inside Allah's eyes — exalted be He above that.

And interpreting the verse as "sailing under Our sight" is not ta'wil (figurative interpretation); rather, it is the apparent meaning of the text. And if some insist that it is ta'wil, their evidence is what the sacred texts have agreed upon and what the scholars have unanimously affirmed regarding Allah’s transcendence from mingling with His creation, for He is the Most High, the Exalted, distinct from all His creatures, while affirming two eyes for Allah the Almighty from the verse.
