Is it permissible for us to lick imported slaughtered animals, given the high prices of local slaughtered animals in Palestine and the inability to purchase them?

The 'aqiqah is a Sunnah according to the preponderant opinion. It is waived for those who cannot afford it and are not burdened by it. Some scholars are of the view that it is merely recommended in all circumstances. It is not valid to perform it with imported slaughtered animals and meat because the intention of 'aqiqah was not present at the time of their slaughter. Therefore, there is no blame upon you for not performing the 'aqiqah under these circumstances, and it can be made up later when conditions become easier.
