How can someone who calls down curses upon himself or his children be described as ignorant, despite his knowledge?

Whoever supplicates with a forbidden supplication out of ignorance, whether they did not know the prohibition or knew it but did not act upon it, then everyone who disobeys Allah is ignorant. Al-Qurtubi said in his Tafsir: "Everyone who disobeys his Lord is ignorant until he refrains from his disobedience." The Companions unanimously agreed that every act of disobedience is out of ignorance, whether it was deliberate or out of unawareness.
