What is the interpretation of the feeling of approaching death during sleep, especially after a period of not performing prayers and then gradually returning to them?

Remembering death and feeling the nearness of one’s end is praiseworthy, as it motivates repentance and acts of obedience. Allah has encouraged good deeds before death, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, taught the mentioned supplication to be recited before sleeping.
