Was the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed over after his death in the mosque or in his chamber?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was prayed over in his noble chamber, not in the mosque. The narration regarding praying over him in the mosque is weak due to the unknown identity of the Tabi'i (successor), whereas the prayer over him in his chamber is supported by some narrations. Among them is what Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab, which is one of the most authentic mursal narrations, and another narration mentioned by Ibn Majah, and a narration from Abu 'Usayb in Imam Ahmad's Musnad.
