Did the Salafis specify the location of Allah in the heavens (above), and what is their evidence for that? And what is the Salafis' evidence for the impermissibility of seeking intercession (tawassul) and blessings (tabarruk) through the Prophet? And are Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah among those who said things that are not befitting of Allah? And do the Ash'aris believe that Allah has a hand and a face not like our faces, or do they interpret that?

The People of Sunnah and Jama'ah believe that Allah Almighty is distinct from His creation, and they exonerate Him from anything that does not befit Him. They affirm for Him what He described Himself with in His Book, and what His Messenger (peace be upon him) described Him with, without distortion, nullification, anthropomorphism, or resemblance. They believe that "there is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing," and they entrust the modality of the attributes to Allah Almighty.

As for the Ash'aris, they affirm only seven attributes, and they interpret the declarative attributes such as the Hand and the Eye. They believe that the Hand signifies power or bounty, and the Eye signifies preservation. They justify interpretation by stating that affirming these attributes according to their literal meaning leads to anthropomorphism.
