Is it permissible to substitute the vowed sheep with the slaughter and distribution of an amount of meat of equal value if that facilitates fulfilling the vow?

Whoever vows to slaughter a sheep for a specific marriage must fulfill their vow when the marriage takes place, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." It is not permissible to substitute the slaughter with buying meat, because the slaughter is an intended act of worship and a means of drawing closer to Allah. Neglecting this act of worship is not correct. Rather, slaughtering is better than giving its price in charity, as the jurists have stipulated. However, it is permissible to substitute it with something better, such as slaughtering a camel or a cow instead of a sheep.
