What should a wife do if she is suffering from her husband's accusations of infidelity, his defamation of her reputation, and his physical and psychological abuse of her and her family, especially since he does not adhere to the limits set by Allah, and she is pregnant and has a young daughter, and she does not wish to break up her family?

It is advisable to be patient, seek Allah's help, make abundant supplications, and communicate with the husband. Remind him of the obligation to treat his wife kindly and to observe Allah's limits. It is not permissible for him to accuse his wife of wrongdoing without proof, nor to harm her verbally or physically unjustly, nor to disclose her secrets or speak ill of her to his family. He should also be keen on maintaining a good relationship between his wife and his family.

There is no objection to involving wise people to speak with him. On the other hand, one should look at the good aspects of the husband and remember that marital life is made stable through patience, overlooking minor faults, and forgiving slips.

If life becomes stable, then praise be to Allah and live together in kindness. Otherwise, one should weigh between staying with him in that state and separating from him by divorce or khul', and choose what involves the lesser of two harms.
