What is your evaluation of Dr. Abdullah Khader Hamad's interpretation of the Great Qur’an, especially through his exegesis of one of the verses from Surat Al-Baqarah in the attached link?

The aforementioned book has not been reviewed, but the attached sample is good. Its author has compiled most of the sayings regarding the interpretation of the verse in a commendable style, with scholarly documentation and adherence to the creed of the Salaf (pious predecessors). This is evident in his refutation of the Jabariyyah (determinists) from the Almighty's saying: "{So whoever drank}" and "{except he who scooped up}," where he attributed the action to them. He also affirmed Allah Almighty's 'Ma'iyyah' (being with) based on the Almighty's saying: "{And Allah is with the patient}." He reconciled affirming 'Ma'iyyah' and Allah's 'Uluw' (being high) by stating that there is no contradiction between them. His being with us does not mean His indwelling in our places; rather, He is with us while He is in the heavens, similar to our saying: "The moon is with us," while it is in the sky.
