Is it permissible to buy any non-original product?

If the non-original product is an imitation of an original product and does not harm the consumer, then there is no objection to purchasing it. However, it is not permissible to sell it as if it were original. But if what is meant is copying a product without the permission of its owners, as in computer software, then this is not permissible.
