How can one whose religiosity and character are pleasing cause corruption on earth and sow discord, as stated in the Hadith: "If someone whose religiosity and character you approve comes to you, then marry him [to your daughter], otherwise there will be discord on earth and widespread corruption"?

The meaning of the Hadith: "If someone whose دین (religious commitment) and character you are pleased with proposes to you (for marriage), then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." Its meaning is that if the guardians of women prevent them from marrying men of religious commitment and good character, and instead prefer men of wealth, lineage, and mere beauty devoid of faith and character, then by doing so, they expose themselves and the world to great corruption. Many women and men may remain unmarried, leading to an increase in fornication and tribulations. Moreover, the guardians themselves might face shame, and tribulations and corruption could arise.
