What are called "venting" sections in forums are not permissible, due to the doors of temptation and corruption they open without a valid need; the principle is the obligation of concealing sins and prohibiting their public declaration, because it spreads vice and trivializes its significance. Al-Tahir ibn Ashour, in his exegesis of the verse: "Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah knows, and you do not know," explained that the widespread knowledge of immoral acts leads to a leniency in committing them.
