What is the interpretation of seeing a fleeting white light appear in the room when one is alone?
We have no definitive knowledge regarding this matter. However, we advise you to learn the religion, be eager to know the truth, adhere to it, invite others to it, and keep the company of trustworthy scholars. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, made the supplication: "O Allah, place light in my heart, and light in my sight, and light in my hearing, and light on my right, and light on my left, and light above me, and light beneath me, and light in front of me, and light behind me, and make for me light." Al-Nawawi explained this as a request for light in the limbs and directions to clarify the truth and be guided to it. We also advise you to be diligent in performing remembrances () and to recite the Qur'an frequently.
