What should I do after I have performed many prayers with the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) after the taslim without saying the salaam again, due to my ignorance of the ruling, and must I repeat these prayers whose number I do not know?
If a worshiper prostrates for forgetfulness (Sajdat al-Sahw) after the Taslim (salutation of peace), the Sunnah is to make the Taslim again after the Sajdat al-Sahw. This is the opinion of the majority of scholars. If one omits the Taslim out of ignorance of its prescribed nature, then they are excused, and there is nothing upon them. They are not required to repeat the prayers in which they prostrated for forgetfulness but did not make the Taslim afterward.
