The voice of a woman is not considered 'awrah' (private and unlawful to expose) according to the more accurate opinion. If there is no fear of temptation (fitnah), it is permissible for a man and a woman to exchange greetings (salam), as mentioned by Al-Bukhari. The condition for this permissibility is the absence of the fear of temptation. Based on this, there is no harm in greeting the male cousin (son of the paternal aunt) and speaking with him when visiting the aunt, to the extent of necessity, such as returning a greeting or answering a question related to studies, without softening the speech or exceeding what is necessary.
