How can one reconcile the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will be the first to open the gates of Paradise, and that the poor Muhajirun will be the first group to enter it?

The first to enter Paradise is the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and he is the first to knock on its gate. As for the poor Muhajirun (emigrants), they will enter Paradise after him, and they are the first group from his Ummah (nation) to enter it, but they are not the absolute first to enter Paradise. Although there are narrations stating that they are the first to enter Paradise, this does not mean they enter before the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Rather, it indicates their precedence in entering immediately after him, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, will return to the Plain of Gathering after entering Paradise to intercede for his Ummah. The hadith "I am the first to enter Paradise, and with me are the poor Muhajirun" has been deemed weak.
