What is the ruling on circumambulating the Kaaba and praying towards it, and is the method of engaging with Christians by starting with the mention of Jesus and his mother in the Quran correct?
For all divine legislations, there are wisdoms that may be apparent or hidden, and it is incumbent upon a Muslim to submit to the command of Allah. We advise engaging with Christians by first inviting them to monotheism and to single out Allah for worship, as Allah Almighty says: "Say, 'O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you — that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah.' But if they turn away, then say, 'Bear witness that we are Muslims.'" If they refuse, there is no benefit in disputing secondary matters. Young people should not preoccupy themselves with doubts, and only those deeply knowledgeable in Islamic law should undertake debating disbelievers.
