He has made His pleasure contingent on their pleasure, and His displeasure on their displeasure. Shortcomings on the part of parents do not justify disobedience; rather, one must be kind to them by visiting them, contacting them, and doing all that brings joy to them. Your invitation to your father to your home is not obligatory as long as it does not lead to alienation, and if it is done with the husband's permission, it increases affection.
