Circumcision is obligatory for men and an honor for women. A less painful method should be sought. It is not permissible for a father to look at his son's 'awrah (private parts). He may attend the procedure without looking. It is forbidden for a man to see another man's 'awrah, and for a woman to see another woman's 'awrah. If blood continues to flow after circumcision and does not stop, it falls under the ruling of سلس (incontinence), and one should perform ablution after the prayer time has begun and pray. If the bleeding stops for a sufficient time to perform ablution and prayer, then one should perform ablution and pray during that time.
