Is my not enrolling in university due to gender mixing, despite my parents' rejection and their disobedience to me, considered an act of 'Uquq (disobedience to parents)?

Completing your studies holds significant benefit for you and for Muslims, especially if it is coupled with your parents' desire, as it involves honoring them and bringing joy to them. The harms of mixing can be avoided by wearing the full legal (Shariah-compliant) hijab, staying away from places of mixing, not being alone with men, and refraining from speaking to them except for a legitimate need, while adhering to Shariah guidelines and lowering the gaze. If the female student adheres to these conditions, then temptation will be repelled from her, and she will achieve the two benefits of honoring her parents and completing her studies. However, if she fears temptation or falling into sin after taking precautions and being wary, then she must abandon her studies.
