Does a young man who cursed Allah and His Messenger have his repentance accepted, even though he knows that cursing the Messenger (peace be upon him) necessitates death, even if he repents? And must he turn himself in to the authorities?

Scholars do not differ on the validity and benefit of the repentance of one who curses God, religion, or the Messenger in the hereafter. However, they differ on whether it benefits him in this world by removing the death penalty from him. The majority of scholars hold that it benefits him in both this world and the hereafter. We advise this young man to conceal his past, turn to his Lord, complete his repentance with sincerity, increase in righteous deeds, and follow bad deeds with good ones.
