It is the wife's right to have an independent dwelling, and she is not obliged to accept living with the husband's relatives or a co-wife. The husband must consider his wife's feelings and not compel her to do what is not شرعًا (legally) required. We advise the wife to be patient and act wisely to preserve her relationship with her husband. The second wife must adhere to proper conduct, not harm the first wife, not embrace or kiss the husband's son with lust if there is fear of temptation, not convey words with the intention of causing corruption (slander), and not interfere in matters that do not concern her.
