Is it permissible to give charity and donate on behalf of relatives, family, and parents without their knowledge, and is it permissible to donate on behalf of the deceased?

If a Muslim gives charity with the intention of dedicating its reward to their parents or relatives, whether living or deceased, this is permissible. The reward reaches the intended recipient and benefits them. This includes every act of worship performed by a Muslim, whether it is supererogatory or obligatory, and whether it allows for deputization, like Hajj, or does not allow for deputization, like prayer, supplication, seeking forgiveness, charity, sacrifice (Udhiyah), debt repayment, and reciting the Quran.
