The phenomenon of photographing women with mobile phones and broadcasting their images over the internet is forbidden (haram), and it is more harmful than merely looking at others' private parts. This is because it leads to the dissemination of these images to millions of people, falling under the category of, "Indeed, those who like that immorality should be spread among those who have believed will have a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter." (An-Nur 24:19). Furthermore, this phenomenon has been misused to superimpose images of Muslim women onto naked bodies, causing familial problems and harm to believing men and women. This falls under the severe warning mentioned in the Almighty's saying, "And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly borne slander and a clear sin." (Al-Ahzab 33:58). These actions involve injustice and aggression against the honor of Muslims.
