Is it permissible to perform Hajj with money from a husband who works in a non-Islamic bank, and if not, is it permissible to sell jewelry gifted by individuals whose money is questionable (such as working in a non-Islamic bank or paying bribes) and perform Hajj with its price, and what is the meaning of Hajj expenses that a woman must cover for herself?

The husband's work in a usurious bank is not permissible, and he should be advised, for perhaps Allah will guide him. Performing Hajj with the husband's money from his forbidden occupation is performing Hajj with unlawful money, and it is forbidden. However, the majority of scholars hold that it is valid, though sinful and with reduced reward. As for gifted ornaments, if the money of the giver is mixed with lawful and unlawful sources, it is doubtful money (مال شبهة), and performing Hajj with it is, Allah willing, valid, while being free from the sin of performing Hajj with unlawful money. Among the conditions for Hajj are financial capability for travel, return, expenses, and accommodation. The ability to offer a sacrifice (hady) is not among the conditions for its obligation.
