Is it permissible to marry a girl whose sister nursed with her brother?
Your marriage to this girl is permissible because you did not share in suckling with her; rather, her brother suckled with your sister. Allah has enumerated the forbidden women in His saying: "Forbidden to you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your paternal aunts, and your maternal aunts, and your brother's daughters, and your sister's daughters, and your foster mothers who suckled you, and your foster sisters, and your wives' mothers, and your stepdaughters who are under your guardianship, born of your wives with whom you have consummated marriage—but if you have not consummated marriage with them, then there is no blame upon you—and the wives of your sons from your own loins, and that you take in marriage two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurred. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. And [also forbidden are] married women, except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful for you are [all others] beyond these, seeking them with your wealth, in honorable marriage, not in unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever enjoyment you have had from them, give them their prescribed compensation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree upon after the prescription. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise." Excluded from the general permissibility of marriage is combining a woman with her paternal aunt or her maternal aunt, or her brother's daughter or her sister's daughter, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "A woman and her paternal aunt shall not be combined, nor a woman and her maternal aunt."
