Is it permissible for a wife to seek divorce because she refuses to travel abroad with her husband and suffers from psychological problems due to living in a foreign land?

The two agreed-upon fundamental principles are: the impermissibility of seeking divorce without a valid need, and the obligation for the wife to move with her husband wherever he wishes, provided he furnishes her with safe accommodation and her rights.

Accordingly, it is not permissible for the wife to seek divorce solely because she does not wish to travel, unless she experiences genuine harm from it.

Some Hanafi jurists conditioned the permissibility of a husband traveling with his wife against her will on the absence of harm, based on the principle that harm permits seeking divorce. This applies if the wife is harmed by the travel, or if the husband intends to harm her, or if he is not trustworthy concerning her safety.
