Is it permissible to use other means, such as journalism, to convey a reform program to the people, given the unresponsiveness of officials and the existence of injustice and corruption in the country?

It is permissible to disseminate beneficial ideas that do not contravene the Sharia through media outlets, provided no harm results from it, as it involves aiding people, benefiting them, and guiding them to good. It is essential to utilize experts in the development of the earth and the exploitation of its resources to achieve development, as Allah Almighty has commanded. People must be encouraged towards social solidarity, such as experts and the wealthy teaching trades to youth and providing job opportunities to solve the problems of unemployment and poverty, while utilizing the immense human energies and natural resources in Islamic countries. The Sharia has mandated attention to this matter, as scholars have permitted purchasing tools of trade for the needy from zakat funds, and the stories of the Prophet (peace be blessings be upon him) teach us to urge work and earning and to avoid begging except out of necessity.
