Do angels die? Are they male or female? Do they reproduce?

The angels will die like the rest of creation, except for those whom Allah has exempted. The majority of scholars hold that all of them will die, including the Angel of Death, but there is no explicit text to that effect; rather, there are probabilistic texts and some weak hadiths.

Angels are not described as having male or female genders. The Quran has denied that they are females, and there is no text that describes them as males.

Angels do not marry or procreate, by scholarly consensus.
