A woman is permitted to forgive all or part of her right. If the wife forgave her husband based on his claim of not possessing money, and then the truth became apparent to him, he must inform her or her guardian of that. If she forgives, there is no harm, but if she takes her right, it is hers. An adult woman who is not foolish can waive her right and donate whatever she wishes from her money, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying: "But if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, take it, and enjoy it with good cheer."
