It is permissible to hang pictures of natural landscapes that do not contain living souls, and this does not fall under the forbidden embellishment of walls. It is also permissible to decorate the home with artificial flowers and the like, as long as they do not include anything forbidden or reach the level of reprehensible extravagance according to Islamic law, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not squander wastefully. Indeed, those who squander are brothers of devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful."
