Is there any evidence in the Qur’an and Sunnah, or in the sayings of scholars, that supports the possibility of hearing the voices of the dead, which would contradict the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that humans and jinn do not hear the screams of the people of the graves, especially in light of the circulating story about recordings of people being tormented deep within the earth?

There is nothing to definitively confirm the veracity of the aforementioned incident due to the unreliability of its narrators. Nevertheless, some exegetes support the idea that Sijjin (the seventh lowest earth) is a place for the souls of disbelievers, which reinforces the concept of the wicked being tormented in their graves beneath the earth. If the mentioned story were true, it would be evidence of the veracity of what Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, brought. Otherwise, faith in what the Qur'an and Sunnah have brought remains firm. As for discussing the incident rationally concerning heat and its effect on devices, specialists can be asked about the possibility of technologies that are not affected by heat or can record remotely. The torment of the grave is affirmed by revealed texts, and one can escape it by realizing monotheism, obeying Allah and performing good deeds, standing guard in the path of Allah, and reciting Surat Tabarak.
