Whoever forgets the exact words of divorce he uttered and is not certain that he pronounced words that would effect a divorce, then his divorce is doubtful and does not take effect, because the original state is the continuation of the marital bond. As for the person afflicted by obsessive doubts (Al-) who pronounces divorce intentionally to cut off doubt with certainty, his divorce takes effect because he proceeded with it by his will and choice. Despite the influence of the obsessive doubt, the divorce is not negated because of it.
