Did any of the People of the Household marry Jewish women?

It is permissible for a Muslim man to marry women from the People of the Book (Christian or Jewish), provided they are chaste and virtuous, based on the Almighty's saying: (And [lawful in marriage are] the chaste women from among the believers and the chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you) Al-Ma'idah/5. Despite the permissibility, marrying a chaste Muslim woman is better, especially in this era, due to the rarity of finding chaste and virtuous women from the People of the Book. Furthermore, the agreement in religion and belief between spouses more fully achieves tranquility, affection, and mercy.
