Is it necessary for one who repents from a creed involving polytheistic practices to review every polytheistic issue and acknowledge its polytheistic nature, then repent from it for their repentance to be accepted? And what is the meaning of "mutalabbis bi shirk" (clothed in polytheism / actively engaged in polytheism)?

Whoever falls into polytheistic matters, it suffices him to repent from them generally, and he is not required to mention them in detail or admit his disbelief. Rather, he should correct his belief and repent from the polytheistic transgressions he committed. Slaughtering for other than Allah is polytheism, and whoever has fallen into it should abandon it and immediately repent to Allah. A person involved in polytheism is one who has committed one of the polytheistic acts, and the types of polytheism include the major one that expels one from the fold of Islam, and lesser forms.
