Is it permissible to accept a fee for searching for a girl for marriage?

There is no impediment to a person asking another to search for a wife through legitimate means, even if there is an agreed-upon financial compensation for it, because it falls under permissible benefits for which compensation is allowed. Scholars have unanimously agreed on the permissibility of compensation for permissible benefits."
