What is the ruling on consuming foods mixed with alcohol in Islam?

Consuming alcohol is forbidden in any way, whether a little or a lot, pure or mixed, because it impairs the mind. Muslims have unanimously agreed on its prohibition merely by drinking, even if it does not intoxicate. If alcohol mixes with something else, that thing becomes forbidden. However, if alcohol mixes with something and is cooked or processed in such a way that its substance completely disappears and no trace of it remains, then the one who drinks it is not subject to the prescribed punishment. But if the substance of the alcohol remains, the one who drinks it is subject to the prescribed punishment, even if it does not intoxicate them.
