Dry impurity does not transfer to clothes or the body by touching it. It only transfers when there is moisture. Impurity might not even transfer with a small amount of moisture that does not involve wetness. Do not rule a carpet impure as long as the impurity is not visible on it and has no trace. There is no need for strictness and hardship in this matter.
