Is it obligatory to pay Zakat on crops before or after paying the due rent on the land, and from the remaining amount?

It appears that "lands" refers to agricultural land. If you have leased agricultural land, its rent is part of its expenses. The majority of scholars hold that the expenses of the land are not deducted from the zakat on the harvest.
