Is the consent of the husband and minor children required if my sister grants me and my mother the right to usufruct her house for life?

Al-'Umra is a type of gift (hiba), and it is permissible according to most scholars. For it to be effective, it requires offer (ijab), acceptance (qabul), and possession (qabd). The majority of jurists hold that it entails the transfer of ownership of the asset itself (al-raqaba), whereas Malik and Al-Layth believe it entails the transfer of ownership of the usufruct (al-manafi'). The permission of the husband or the approval of the children is not a condition for the validity of a sane woman's disposition of her own property.
