What is the ruling on conditioning a wife's divorce on the husband's committing adultery again?

The questioner erred by asking her husband to suspend her divorce on what she calls betrayal. The majority of scholars hold that divorce occurs if the husband breaks his oath, whereas Ibn Taymiyyah holds that divorce does not occur, and an expiation for breaking an oath is required if the intent was emphasis and not divorce. It must be noted that describing a husband's forbidden relations as betrayal only to the wife is a concept contrary to Islamic law.
