Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf Al-Thaqafi is well-known for his excessive bloodshed, and among those he killed was the esteemed Companion Abdullah ibn Al-Zubayr. It is not permissible to curse Al-Hajjaj or any other specific transgressor (fasiq), as the general principle is the prohibition of cursing a Muslim, except for those whose cursing has been established by religious law or through general cursing.
