What is the ruling on delaying the division of an inherited house in order to preserve the interests of the heirs, especially since one of the heirs is demanding his share or a monthly rent?

If one of the heirs requests the division of the inheritance, it is not permissible to delay it. If the house cannot be divided without causing harm, it should be sold and its price distributed among the heirs. If the heirs agree to rent the house to some of them and distribute the rent, there is no harm in that, and the brother is entitled to his share of the rent. However, the brother has no right to demand rent for his own house; rather, he has the right to demand from those benefiting from the house their share of its fair rental value.
