What is the ruling on saying "May God make you sick with disgust" (Allah yiqrifuka)?

Colloquial phrases are interpreted according to the intention of their speaker. The phrase "May Allah make you disgusted" (Allah yuqrifak) is said to someone who has done something disliked. It is a supplication that Allah may reward him by making him disgusted with what he dislikes, as a form of reciprocation. If this supplication is warranted, it falls under the verse: "The recompense for an evil deed is an evil deed like it." (Quran 42:40). However, it is more complete to pardon, forgive, and avoid such words, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, a believer is not a frequent curser, nor a slanderer, nor one who utters obscenities, nor one who is foul-mouthed." This phrase should not be interpreted as attributing disgust to Allah, but rather it is from the perspective of good manners and refraining from insults and curses.
