Should the dream interpretation of a Muslim who does not pray be believed?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Neglecting prayer is a major sin, and some scholars have even considered the one who abandons it to be an infidel. Nevertheless, there is nothing to prevent the truthfulness of the interpretation of a dream had by someone who neglects prayer, or even by an original disbeliever, as narrated in the story of Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him, with the two prisoners and the king. However, a Muslim should not seek the interpretation of his dreams from the wicked and those who neglect prayer; rather, he should seek it from the people of righteousness and uprightness.
